Day 01: Chandigarh — Shimla Arrive at Chandigarh and drive to Shimla via Parwanoo and Solan. Upon reaching Shimla, check into your hotel. Spend your evening visiting the famous Mall Road. Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02: Shimla — Sangla Valley After breakfast, visit the famous Bhimakali Temple at Sarahan, known for its ancient history and unique architecture. Continue your drive to Sangla Valley (4-5 hours). Check into your hotel or luxury tented accommodation. Post lunch, take a leisurely walk through Kamru and Sangla villages, exploring beautifully carved old temples and Buddhist monasteries. Interact with local villagers and soak in the serene atmosphere. Overnight stay at Sangla.

Day 03: Sangla — Chitkul — Sangla Valley Post breakfast, explore the ancient Kamru Fort and Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya Devi, originally brought from Assam. After lunch, take an excursion to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. Walk through green orchards beside a beautiful stream and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Return to Sangla for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Sangla — Kalpa (2,758 meters / 9,048 feet) Check out after breakfast and drive to Kalpa, the district headquarters of Kinnaur, famed for its spectacular views of the Kinner Kailash range. Kalpa is steeped in history, once favored by Lord Dalhousie for retreat. Check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the Buddhist Gompa Hu Bu Lan Kar before returning for dinner and overnight stay

Day 05: Kalpa — Nako — Tabo After breakfast, visit Nako Lake, a serene mountain lake surrounded by charming village life. Continue to Tabo, home to one of the most significant gompas in Tibetan Buddhism, dating back to 996 AD. En route, visit Dhankar Gompa. Check into your hotel in Tabo for overnight stay.

Day 06: Tabo — Kaza (3,200 meters / 10,500 feet) Visit the historic Tabo Monastery in the morning. Later, drive to Kaza (about 3 hours), stopping to visit Dhankar village and monastery. Enjoy tea or lunch with a local family to experience authentic hospitality. Arrive at Kaza, check in, and explore the local market in the evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 07: Kaza — Local Sightseeing After breakfast, visit the village of Langza, known for its fossils and peaceful environment. Optionally visit Hikkim, the world’s highest post office village (4,450 meters). Later, explore the famous Ki Monastery, a centuries-old fortress monastery with panoramic views. Visit Kibber village (4,200 meters), once considered the highest inhabited village. You can enjoy a walk in the nearby mountains to spot Himalayan blue sheep and snow ibex. Lunch at a local restaurant in Kibber with Tibetan cuisine. Return to Kaza for overnight stay.

Day 08: Kaza — Chandratal Lake After breakfast, drive to Chandratal Lake crossing the stunning Kunzum Pass (4,600 meters). Change to a suitable vehicle (Sumo) to reach the lake. Spend the day enjoying the breathtaking deep blue lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The lake is considered sacred, believed to be the spot where the god Indra’s chariot took Yudhisthira to heaven. Overnight camping near Chandratal Lake under the stars.

Day 09: Chandratal Lake — Manali (2,050 meters / 6,726 feet) Start early (6:30 AM) for the drive to Manali (4-5 hours). Stop for breakfast at the camp and lunch en route. Cross the high mountain passes of Kunzum Pass and Rohtang Pass (3,980 meters), enjoying magnificent views of glaciers and the valley. Arrive in Manali in the evening, check into your hotel, and relax.
